About

Providing Western Australian Farmers with a cost effective and time efficient solution for collating hay bales for transport and storage.

The Origins of Statewide Bale Banding

Statewide Bale Banding was founded in 2012 by Fred Dilley, a Peel-based ex dairy farmer. After seeing the gap in WA farm and agriculture services, we felt that we could provide support to Western Australian Farmers during hay harvest to improve their time efficiency and storage.

With limited machine numbers in Australia, there was limited access to the necessary machinery. However, the investment to own this specialised machinery was not worth the cost for farmers due to its limited use throughout the year.

Therefore, Statewide Bale Banding was born as a way to provide a solution to the problem of efficiency for farmers throughout the state of Western Australia. Now, 10 years later, we continue to provide a seasonal bale banding services during hay harvest from September through to December each year.

Our Machinery

Our tools of the trade are the Self-Propelled Bale Baron and Trail-Behind Bale Baron. These machines are designed and manufactured to simplify the bale banding process to improve transport and storage options for your hay. Using a compression system, the Bale Baron collates bundles of hay bales and ropes them together to create tightly packed stacks that can be moved easily without falling apart.
